Other info: Slightly difficult to grow. I think my soil PH is neutral and it hasn't been amended. I planted five plants and only one lived. However, it is doing great and has increased to a very large healthy plant. Also, in 2007 I ordered Aconitum napellus plants to offer for sale. I actually thought the plant I had was Aconitum napellus but I planted one of the purchased plants from 2007 in a gallon size pot and it bloomed in June. The plant I have in ground blooms mid to late fall. I am not certain that it is Aconitum carmichaelii, but that is one of the varieties in the original collection that I ordered, and I'm pretty sure is. This one seems to be the easiest to grow, for me anyway. It has increased nicely to a very large clump. I do wish however, that it bloomed a little earlier.
