Other info: In the past I have tried to dig and pot these bulbs in the fall and store them in containers over winter, but they were just not hardy enough. Last year I tried digging and potting bulbs in gallon sized containers in spring. They did okay, but didn't seem to like container life and only a few bloomed, although the bulbs lived fine. I will dig and pot up at least 6-8 bulbs in a 3-1/2" container. These bulbs may or may not bloom, but will certainly bloom the next year. [They will look just like a mass bunch of onions.] These will only be available for a short time in the late spring.
