Flower Color: Mixed
Height: 12" to 14"
Light: Full Sun to Part Shade
Zone: 5-9
Water: Average
Soil: Average to Rich
Maintenance: Because these flower so very early in the spring, after their second year, I suggest cutting the plants to the ground in the late fall. The reason is because when they bloom in the early spring they look very ratty with all the leftover dead foliage which is very hard to remove easily in the spring.
Other info: Perennial Plant of the Year.

I dig and divide these plants from my garden. ~ Based on work load, I have recently decided to dig and pot only a few plants, if any (especially those of low sellers), unless the order is received and paid for by April 1st. ~ If you are visiting this page in spring after that date, it is possible these plants are not available or that they would be dug and shipped bare root. ~ I usually get very busy during spring plant season, and since I do my own web work, I sometimes do not have time to get a page updated when a plant item is sold out or not available.
