ALLIUM sphaerocephalon
** Drumstick Allium Flower **


CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE -- SHOULD BE AVAILABLE WHEN FRESH HARVEST SEEDS ARE CLEANED AND READY.
Germination: Slightly difficult. Start in late winter. Sow seed on good seed starting mix and cover seeds lightly with mix. Moisten. Place container inside sandwich baggie to keep seed starting mix moist. Place container in location at 70°F for 2-3 weeks. Move seeds to freezer (24-39°F) for 2 weeks. Then move seeds to refrigerator (41-53°F). Begin checking for germination in 10-12 days. Remove from refrigerator and remove baggie once germination begins. (Try paper towel method for seed visibility.)
-Or-, place container after the initial 2-3 weeks at 70°F in an outdoor sheltered location in winter when temperatures are still freezing. Seeds should begin germinating when temperatures begin to warm.
