HELLEBORUS orientalis
** Helleborus orientalis **

Germination: Difficult.   (Best to start early because germination process can be long if seeds are not sown outdoors upon harvest.)   Sow seeds in between layers of paper towel.   Moisten paper towel and place paper towel inside sandwich baggie.   Put baggie in a location at 68-71°F for 8-10 weeks.   Then move baggie to refrigerator for 8-10 weeks.   Begin checking for germination in the refrigerator after the fifth (5th) week.   Once you see a root has formed, pot up in small containers and place in cool 58-60°F for continued growth until transplanting to garden location.
