Other info: Self-sows, but will easily cross pollinate with your other cosmos, so I have found it best to start with commercial seed each year. The doubleness of the flowers are really amazing and unless you see the foliage, you may not know it is cosmos flowers.

Germination: Easy germination. Start indoors 2-4 weeks prior to last spring frost. Sow seed in container on good seed starting mix. Cover seeds with mix. Moisten mix and keep mix moist until germination begins. Place container in a location at 70°F. Germination should begin in 6-10 days. Does well direct sown to garden location in spring ( -- may be sown before last spring frost).
