Other info: An excellent fresh cut flower. I kept my plants well watered and as I cut flowers, they continued to bloom. I had plants that bloomed from late spring to frost. Self-sows abundantly. (Photo was taken 2-3 years ago when I was only growing blue/purple shades. I've now added pink shades and a few white ones here and there.)

Germination: Best seeded outdoors. Sow seed in container on good seed starting mix. Cover seeds lightly. Moisten mix and place container inside sandwich baggie. Place container in a sheltered outdoor location out of the direct sun in early spring. Germination should begin as the weather warms. Or, direct sow to garden location at least two (2) weeks prior to last spring frost. Needs cool temperatures to germinate!
