Details: Original seed was commercial, which itself produced a few blues instead of Rose-Red or Rose-Pink. Once seeds were no longer available, I tagged Rose colored garden plants (although there were a few blue ones around which had come from the original commercial seeds), and harvested seeds from only those. This year, 2011, I segregated those seedling plants which I had sown in large pots. I monitored the pots closely and if I saw any forming blue flowers (which came from Rose flowered plants), I immediately pulled and disposed of them. The seeds being sold are from the harvest of Rose-Pink flowering plants only. However, in generation, there still could be some blue-flowered plants produced. Also, don't be concerned if your flowers first appear white. In studying these, they start out white with a pink central color and as the flower matures, it becomes Rose-Pink, and actually sometimes appears purple.
