Rudbeckia 'Goldilocks' Seeds...Seed from Black Eyed Susans

Type: Annual
Common Names: Black Eyed Susans
Height: 8" to 10"
Spread: 8" to 10"
Flower color: Golden yellow with a large brown to black central; semi-double and double flowers.
Bloom time: Summer
Light: Full sun or light shade
Water: Average
Soil: Average to Rich
Maintenance: Low.
Other info: This will be new to me in 2007, so I do not yet have much growing information. My commercial seed supplier lists it as an excellent cut flower, extremely long lasting in the vase. Because of its compact size, it is also likely to be a very good container plant.

Really disappointed in the 'Goldilocks' seeds. Below I will post a link to my photo of how they bloomed in my garden. Most were single-flower, nothing like the appearance of the above photo.

Germination: Easy germination. Start indoors 4-6 weeks prior to last spring frost. Sow seed in container on good seed starting mix. Cover seeds lightly or not at all. Moisten mix and keep moist until germination begins. Place container in a location at 65-70°F. Germination should begin in 4-10 days.
