Salvia coccinea Seeds...Seed from 'Lady in Red' salvia seeds

Type: Annual
Common Names:
Height: 30" to 36"
Spread: 10" to 20"
Flower color: Red
Bloom time: Summer
Light: Full sun
Water: Average
Soil: Average to Rich
Other info: A very nice cut flower. Loved by hummingbirds! May self-sow. [I have informed that if you continue to cut back the dead flower heads the plant will branch out and bloom even better. So my guess is that if you pinch the growing stems, that you will have a much fuller plant by the end of the season.]

** Salvia Lady in Red flower **

At this time, I can no longer get individual colors of Lady in Red and Coral Nymph. Therefore, it is possible that soon only a mix will be available with the red flowers, salmon-coral-pink flowers, and white flowers.
Germination: Easy germination. Start indoors 4-6 weeks prior to last spring frost. Sow seed in container on good seed starting mix. Do not cover seeds with mix, as light aids germination. Moisten mix and keep mix moist until germination begins. Place container in a location at 70°F. Germination should begin in 6-10 days.
