Tomato 'Opalka' Seeds.....Seed -- Tomato 'Opalka'

Type: Vegetable / Tomato / Indeterminate
Common Names: Tomato
Height: 24" to 36"
Light: Full sun
Water: Average
Soil: Average to Rich
Other info: I was thankful that I grew the variety 'Opalka' and 'Italian Paste' the same year.   In my opinion, these two tomatoes are very similar.   Although 'Italian Paste' fruits tend to be a bit larger, 'Opalka' has very nice size fruits with excellent flavor, and very few seeds.   I believe this variety is great for salsa, canning, sun dried tomatoes and salad tomatoes.   The only drawback with both 'Opalka' and 'Italian' Paste' is that they do not seem to produce as many fruits as the hybrids do.   But for this, I think flavor wins out.

FYI, the little tomato in the upper left of photo is a 'Black Cherry'.
